  I was supposed to get my package delivered in two days. It arrived on the third day evening according to the tracking record. I was home the whole day hoping to receive my package and next thing I saw a note left on the mail box saying " sorry we missed you" and asked to pick up at their office. The delivery person did not buzz the door bell. And since it's Friday evening and I don't have time to go to their office on Saturday which means I will have to wait until Monday to pick up my package. I chose for two day shipping because I needed the product I purchased immediately. Not happy with their service. Never ups again! I

  I've been using the UPS Store on Marginal Way in Portland regularly for several years and have always received excellent service. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful, and the location operates smoothly.

  Been using UPS stores for mailbox service for years. This store doesn't answer out of state calls (which is bad for visiting executives with cells that are out of state). They don't return calls promptly. The boxes they rent have two pricing tiers (which is a departure from the UPS Store Norm) and more importantly they require 6 months (which is a money grab, if I'm here on business for a few months I have to pay for 6? really?). The employee that answered the phone sounded lethargic and gave me the impression that she was completely untrained for the job she was doing, and might actually fall asleep while talking to me. I called the place on Western Ave in South Portland and they were almost half the price, with a monthly and a 3 month option. The person that answered the phone sounded like she was properly caffeinated to handle my query. Too many weird things going on with marginal way UPS store. Inconsistent policy (from UPS stores) makes for inconsistent service. The experience was bad enough that I'm literally travelling several miles out of my way to get service elsewhere. I'm 4 blocks from the marginal way store and life would have been much easier if they were not flakes. My advice is to take a pass and hit up one of the other stores.
