- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Contacted this firm's lawyer Vera Buck for an hourly consultation. It turned out she is not licensed in Maine although she is on the Maine website. No apologies, and even though I suggested in a friendly way this could be avoided by a notation on each lawyer's bio, there was no apology or indeed response. In terms of getting the consultation I needed, she was very unhelpful and didn't refer me to a Maine colleague in her firm. When I asked for a referral her reply was useless. Either she was having a very bad day or the whole firm needs an attitude adjustment. Terrible service and terrible attitude.By Edy Kizaki, September 08, 2017
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Berstein Shur Shareholder Kai McGintee showed questionable ethics when interviewing students at a Vermont school in 2017. She communicated with me several times asking to interview my 16-year-old daughter regarding a very specific incident that happened at the school. When she had my daughter in the interview room, the line of questioning was mostly unrelated to the specific incident she had previously indicated in writing. The hour-and-a-half interview turned out to be a witch hunt against one of the school’s staff members. Not only did she mislead several school families, she never suggested that the minors have a lawyer present during her investigation.
